Our Start
Dr. Everett Short Jr.
Kari's grandfather, Everett, owned and operated Alpha Angus Farms in Perkins, Ok. He started Alpha Angus in 1987, and operated it until his passing in 2013.
Alpha Angus Farms
Alpha Angus specialized in registered black angus cattle. Everett produced some of the most phenotypically correct cattle in the business. Alpha Angus cattle just work!
In 2017 we were able to find and purchase two Alpha Angus cow calf pairs to start our program.
Munson brothers ranch today
We are currently working to improve our herd utilizing AI and embryo transfer. Similar to Everett, we are striving to produce cattle that are the right type and kind. With maternal and longevity traits being at the forefront of the program.
